The Factory Energy Management System (FEMS) is a tool to collect energy consumption data, as well as to monitor and control the corresponding appliances. It is used to control large loads and energy production units found in factories or commercial buildings of various industrial branches. It incorporates algorithms enabling simultaneous load control (i.e. for multiple loads) to achieve optimal consumption, peak levelling, automated demand response or any other energy/cost saving goal.
